It's beginning look a lot like Christmas.; came out to get any early start

The article - "Christmas is nearly here" in 24H Vancouver on December 14, 2009 - begins with a missing word (beginning to look), and then features an extra letter to create a wrong word:

While any does make a little bit of sense, I've gotta say that an would be a much better word here.
