Climbing + combining

Wall Climbining? Really? And that large white space to the left of the main text - all the other ads have an image there. Where's yours? From a sponsored sidebar ad on Facebook on March 16, 2011.

brandon fraser; jonny depp

-- "name the actor/actress" on Flixster on Facebook on March 15, 2009

I don't know why the names aren't capitalized, but that's the least of the problems. For the first question above, there is no correct answer. Pictured is Brendan Fraser. For the second question, at least it's Johnny Depp and not the featured actor whose name is misspelled.

Here's what your missing if your not watching

--"Vote for your Favourite BT Personalities!" event on Facebook on March 13, 2009

The video's description was written by one of BT's personalities. Please don't vote for her; she's missing the correct spelling of you're - twice in the first six words.

Think you can even get fast the first question? Find out your iq now!

-- Facebook advertisement on February 2, 2009

If I think fast, maybe I can get past the first question. Though I'll only make an attempt on one condition: you turn iq into IQ, because right now it looks icky.

Tim Horton's

-- Facebook advertisement on January 30, 2009

It irks me a little that people mistakenly put that apostrophe in there quite often, but when it's in their own advertisement with the logo pictured in the same ad showing no apostrophe, well, that irks me a lot

to get tickets before their sold out

-- Facebook ad on January 14, 2009

Maybe the band will compromise their integrity, morality and principles in exchange for money, success or other personal gain (according to Wikipedia's Selling out page). Or maybe the word their should be they're.

THE COPS SHOULD OF SHOT YOU!! R.I.P TIM MCLEAN....

-- Facebook group, Thursday August 21 2008

Correction: THE COPS SHOULD HAVE SHOT YOU!! R.I.P. TIM MCLEAN....

Granted, there are many facebook groups that contain errors in their names. Most of them, however, are just for fun, based on a silly topic. This is a group that deserves proper spelling and grammar.

grow thier business

-- Facebook sidebar ad, Sunday August 10 2008

Correction: grow their business

Not a good way to attract "established professionals".

request that: the ability

We the members whom have joined this group hereby request that:
1. No application ask or require us to invite our facebook friends to anything for any reason.
2. The ability and privacy to block ALL application requests.
-- Official Facebook Petition: To ban the inviting of friends on Applications(group) on facebook.com, Saturday June 14 2008

Reading continuously from We the members to the end of the first request makes sense, but if one reads from We the members to the end of the second request (bypassing request one), it doesn't make sense. My request is to put the colon after the word request and to put the word that at the start of the first request. The second request can stay as-is and would then make sense! The quote above is the group's entire description and - as of this sentence being written - the group has 1,092,217 members.
