The headline of the article ("Recognition sought for black neighbourhood" on CBC News online on October 12, 2010) has the word neighbourhood, which is the proper Canadian - from British English - spelling of the word. (Click here for -our/-or spelling differences.) However,
that word gets transformed into a nonword in the article's second sentence. Later in the article,
