A flyer for WinFall Oceanview Lottery arrived with our mail last week. I thought there was something I wasn't getting about "$33 at ticket," but after realizing that it's supposed to be "$33 a ticket," the phrase still sounds awkward: It's like $33 a ticket to as low as $25!. Looking elsewhere on the flyer (see below), it looks like that gibberish is meant to explain that tickets are 3 for $100 ($33 a ticket), 9 for $250 ($28 a ticket), or 16 for $400 ($25 a ticket).
While the ticket prices are made more clear in this section of the flyer, we are now subjected to an incorrect apostrophe. Thousands is a plural that does not take an apostrophe. Also, in the first image the word ways is randomly capitalized, and in the second image win gets the random-capitalization treatment.
