The writer makes an aside without returning to finish the original thought, if there ever was one.

-- Taboo The Naughty But Nice Sex Show advertisement in The Georgia Straight on January 1, 2009

It should be Vancouver's Sexiest Event, and it definitely looks like it will be.

In Port Moody, Clarke Drive and Clarke Road both exist, both with the e ending. In Vancouver, it's only Clark Drive, k ending.

Tom Poti is just one man, so the plural Defensemen should be the singular Defenseman. Agree to disagree?

Correct as Isaac in the subheadline, but incorrect in the article's first sentence. Famous isn't the only publication to make this exact error.

Harrison Watersports can't spell its own name correctly.

The picture part of the image above is the flip-up part that reveals the months of the year with the text at the bottom being ever present. Do you think that Milano Fashions yearns to be in Sydney, Australia, instead of Sidney, BC?

24 hours'; to investigative the government's child-in-home-of-a-relation program

-- "More new information comes to light" in Vancouver 24 hours on December 31, 2008

Does 24 hours have an apostrophe in the title? No, so why add one when simply identifying it? It's your own paper for fun's sake! As for the second image, the word investigative should be investigate, and the government's program is titled, Child in the Home of a Relative, without any hyphens, capitalized, and Relative instead of relation.

A loan deceased person

-- "That's suspicious" in Vancouver 24 hours on December 31, 2008

What? The dead body was borrowed? Nah, it most definitely should be lone, not loan. I'm guessing that 24 hours has incorrectly written something an RCMP spokesperson said.

good that we we're excited

-- "Canada beats U.S. 7-4 at World Juniors" on vancouver.24hrs.ca on January 1, 2009

However, placing an apostrophe where there should not be an apostrophe is not good.
